Our first spotlight shines on Lorraine Hansen from Fruit Heights, Utah. Lorraine is married to a great guy named Dave and they have two adorable children—Anna (age 7) and Erik (age 3). Lorraine has been blessed to adopt both of her kids (and has her papers in for a third)—she is always looking for adoption memorabilia, poems and stories. Lorraine is a stay-at-home mom and Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, but previously worked as a Victim’s Advocate. (Lorraine and Brooke St. John are former colleagues.) Lorraine loves all things fish—she has a salt water aquarium and enjoys being a fish herself (she loves to SCUBA dive or at least have her toes in the sand somewhere). Lorraine loves to travel and is fortunate that her husband works for Delta Air Lines so they can enjoy the “free” airline perks. In fact, Lorraine and her family just returned from a trip to Disneyland! In addition to stamping and scrapbooking, Lorraine loves to tole paint and can use a saw better than most men—she is very industrious and can pretty much build or fix anything herself! Lorraine’s “must have” scrapbook item(s) are punches—she loves collecting them! Lorraine enjoys crafting with her children—both know how to stamp and punch better than most adults! Lorraine has a sign in her craft area that reads, “Stamping is cheaper than therapy.” Lorraine and Melanie organize an annual “therapeutic” retreat every Fall for themselves and 20 or so other friends. For the past six years, they have rented a house/condo/cabin and escaped for four days of scrapbooking bliss. They have a blast scrapping, stamping and making cards almost ‘round the clock. We’re glad you are one of our “card chicks”, Lorraine!
Lorraine’s This or That:
Coke or Pepsi - What kind of question is this? COKE--of course!
Coffee or Hot Cocoa - Hot Cocoa--especially why my husband makes "hot yummies" (aka cookies) to go with it.
Pizza or Pasta - PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA
Cake or Ice Cream - Cake, occasionally ice cream, but definitely not together.
Earrings or Necklace - Necklace mostly...too lazy to put on earrings
Books or Magazines - Magazines...something short or I fall asleep
Volleyball or Tennis - Both. I used to play Volleyball, but now play Tennis with hubby.
January or July - January can be depressing, so I'd say July if it's not too hot.
Early bird or Night Owl - Night Owl!!!
Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate - Dark is the best (and less fattening too--right?)
